About

Years ago, when I just got married, we discovered the music of Camel. We already had some of their music, but after being in London, in a recordstore with lots of their albums, we both got addicted to their music.

Although we loved their music a lot and went to some of their concerts when they were in the Netherlands, we both hardly knew who were the members of the band.

And as time went by and I had listened to their albums numerous times, I switched to classical music. I got interested in the history of western music, listened to all kind of classical music and came up with some favourites of which I blogged about these past few weeks on my Gaia blog.

But then, a few weeks ago, I rediscovered Camel. On Youtube I found the most fantastic videos of their live concerts, I found some great websites where I could read all about them and get an idea of their impressive history, and I found a music site where I can listen to some of their albums again.

It was really amazing to watch all the live videos, so I started this weblog to collect and categorise them. And I also uploaded a lot of other, not live, videos of them on Vodspot tv. That really works great with the tags, they can be seen by ‘album’ or ‘concert’ and I even made a tag with ’sensitive’.

On this weblog I categorised them on time, so I made the categories 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. And on another weblog I want to start writing about my perception of their music.

Yes, pure seems a good description. I never had that album myself, so it is rather new to me. I only knew ‘Never let go’ well, but now I also like ‘Mystic Queen’ a lot.
